Christophe Godfroid from Belgium is up next and ohhh are we excited! Mr Godfroid is an abundantly creative, confident and dexterous photographer, his images are so deliberate and remarkably striking. Photography is not his everyday life but with an eye like his, he was 100% born to shoot! Christophe says photography is a way for him to escape from the day to day world. Amen to that Christophe!
Good vibes and endless inspiration,

Interview
What is the best advice you have received so far about photography?
To get rid of the social ascendancy and listen to my emotions. In other words, don’t let others dictate what I want to show through my pictures. I’m still working on that icon wink Photographer Feature | Christophe Godfroid
What do you love the most about your job?
If we are talking about photography, what I like the most is meeting with the people before, during and after a project. I also like to explore parts of me which I do not know or do not understand.
What is your current state of mind?
Lots of new and more conceptual projects in mind right now, with a bit of frustration because I cannot find time to launch them all 🙂
How would you describe your style?
“Everything has been thought of” might be a good description, but with a special focus on people.
Among your works, which one is your favorite? Why?
“Queen of Corn” definitely because we had so much fun during that session…
What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?
Nothing, learning everyday…
What photographers from the past or present have influenced you the most?
Easy one: Anton Corbijn! I really love his work.
What advice do you have for somebody who wants to pursue photography?
Learn the basics, respect your models, do not rush to publish, listen to criticism but take only what is in it for you.
What’s the most important thing you want potential clients to know about you?
I am there to have fun, not to get bored. Trust me and you’ll like it.
What has been your favourite photo location or session?
“h0M3 T@p|nG” was a nice way because I had been invited for a showcase for the first time. Strange feeling to talk about your work and methods. Talk about you basically. Photography is so personal.
Among the gadgets that you own, is there something that you wish you hadn’t bought? Why?
A zoom … I hate zooms.
What is your favourite photography accessory, other than your camera?
How can you work without a reflector???
What type of cameras do you shoot with?
Nikon D7000
If you had to choose one lens which one would it be and why?
Nikkor 35mm 1.8 DX
What is your favourite computer/editing accessory, other than your computer?!
Lightroom
Cos we just have to ask…!! 😉 What is your favourite +PS tool?? And how has it improved workflow time?
Really like Haze, Fade & Flare. Cannot work without it anymore. The Beauty Brush is a must have also.
Do you maintain a studio or do you rent one when needed?
I mostly work outside or in strange locations … So no, I do not have a studio.
Three photography pet hates and why?
1. Being judged by the camera around my neck! Come on..
2. Stubborn photographers who don’t consider the usage of Lightroom as being photography.
3. Voyeur photographers!
Where would you wish to wake up tomorrow?
In a studio in New York with plenty of crazy models and time to kill with unlimited support to setup, with make-up artists and stylists willing to share their work.
What five words would your friends use to describe you?
Funny, professional, crazy, full of ideas, not available…
What lies ahead for you?
Shoot and Shock – It will be next!
